Tucker Carlson tells America about MS-13:
Trump administration announces crackdown on MS-13:
Today many claim journalism is dead. They claim there is no one who will just report the news without adding their own prejudices and political preferences. It may be true, but last week a journalist did something unique – he told us something we didn’t already know, and made a difference. These days on TV and Radio news all we hear is Trump, Trump, Trump. But on April 13, Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” host Tucker Carlson told America about a dangerous group in America called MS-13. It’s an organization he described as a “mostly immigrant street gang” a bigger threat to public safety than ISIS. Carlson offered examples of MS-13 violence and pointed out that while there are likely a “few hundred” active ISIS members in the United States, there were 6,000 members of MS-13 domestically and 30,000 abroad.
MS-13 is an awful group, with a moral code that predominantly consists of merciless revenge and cruel retributions. They are an international criminal gang that consisting of mostly Latino members founded in Los Angeles, California. They deal in drugs, human trafficking, and even child prostitution.
It was formed in Los Angeles in the 1980s by immigrants fleeing El Salvador’s civil war. This gang is known for its brutal violence, including attacks and home invasions, even known for beheading victims. The machete is a hallmark of bloody MS-13 crime, says a former MS-13 member. “The weapon of choice for MS-13 is the machete, which can be homemade in metal shops or garages,” he said. “Unlike other gangs, which prefer guns, Ms-13 uses the machete as a weapon of terror. They will slash their victims, slice off fingers and limbs and on occasion, behead their intended targets. It is done to silence any potential snitches. Since their main form of getting money is to shake down and extort their own community, the machete spreads fear to those who are being extorted.”
The machete, he added, is also a weapon that is used to do field work and gardening and can easily be transported around to do work. “But its secondary purpose is to spread fear.”
“Now, the administration is using a lot of firepower to defeat insurgents in the Middle East right now and good for them. But what about the insurgency right down the road from you here in America? Because that’s exactly what it is.” Tucker Carlson pointed out, and before long was answered. MS-13 was then mentioned by name by Secretary of Homeland Security General John Kelly, Attorney General Jeff Session, and President Donald Trump.
AG Jeff Sessions a federal focus on tackling MS-13; he sent a message to the gang, “We will find you,” according to a Newsday article. And in another interview said “MS-13 “could qualify as a terrorist group due to the violence of its members. . . They use machetes, they kill children, they put children into prostitution at age 12 … I believe if we stay at it, we can devastate this organization and that’s going to be our goal.” Trump has tweeted about MS-13: “The weak illegal immigration policies of the Obama Admin. allowed bad MS 13 gangs to form in cities across U.S.,” he wrote. “We are removing them fast!”
In an interview with Associated Press Friday, Trump said: “We are putting MS-13 in jail and getting them the hell out of our country. They’ve taken over towns and cities and we are being really brutal with MS-13 and that’s what we should be. They are a bad group and somebody said they are as bad as al-Qaida, which is a hell of a reference.”
What this is, is a good journalism. A reported brought an issue that was being ignored to the public, and our government responded.
